Smart Energy Innovation Center inaugurated in Nuremberg by Huawei
The Smart Energy Innovation Center, Huawei’s network energy experience centre, has been inaugurated in Nuremberg, Germany this week. More than 80 European customers attended the ribbon-cutting ceremony launching the center.
Huawei’s Smart Energy Innovation Center is located at Huawei’s European Research Institute in Nuremberg, Germany. At the centre a variety of solutions are displayed including the data center, telecom power, smart PV, and intelligent energy management system solutions. These digitised, network-based, and intelligent solutions are testament to Huawei’s leading expertise in the network energy field.
Through physical objects, interactions, and real environment tests visitors can experience Huawei’s simple, reliable and efficient intelligent network energy management. Tests and demos of UPSs in different service scenarios are displayed onsite, demonstrating the benefits that Huawei products provide.
Visitors can, for example, witness the most efficient modular UPS in the industry – reaching 97.5%. Smart convergent modular data centers and smart PV products are also exhibited in the center. In addition, the Smart Energy Innovation Center has reserved room for smart development and product convergence for future solutions. Display capabilities have the capacity to be improved to match the product evolution, so what is presented is always in line with the most recent development by Huawei and the industry as a whole.
Fang Liangzhou, VP of Huawei Network Energy, said at the ceremony that:”The next two or three decades will be a critical period for the digital economy as ICT continues to play a pivotal role in the transformation. Two examples of this include the National Broadband Plan in Europe and Industry 4.0 in Germany which have lead the ICT development and the global digitisation trend.
Huawei has always considered the European market to be hugely important, and has invested huge amounts in R&D and substantial marketing efforts in Europe. Due to years’ of build-up, Huawei’s European Research Institute in Nuremberg, Germany, has made many breakthroughs, such as new topology algorithms for UPS. The “Smart Energy Innovation Center” in Nuremberg is the latest investment towards digital transformation and is an embodiment of Huawei’s European propositions as well as a bridge to exchange ideas across Europe.
It enhances Huawei’s close cooperation with the European industry and academic circles and provides a platform with an open ecosystem for mutual learning and experience sharing between customers and consulting organisations across industries. It will help Huawei further cooperate with European companies, and connect with wider global markets.”
After years’ continuous innovation, Huawei’s Network Energy has integrated digital information technology, IoT technology, and network communications technology. Huawei provides end-to-end solutions covering the data center, UPS, telecom power, and smart PV plant.
With its excellent performances in the global market, evidenced by a leading market share, Huawei has acquired many awards, including the “Modular Deployment Award” by DCD for data center market, “Global Product Innovation Leadership Award in DC Power Solutions” and “2016 Company of the Year Award” by Frost & Sullivan in global modular UPS industry, “IT Platinum Award” by DCI for UPS market in Germany, and “PV Inverter Supplier Leader” by IHS.
The establishment of the Smart Energy Innovation Center indicates a further step in European R&D investment. In the future, similar innovation centers will be set up in Europe and other places around the world. With its solid build-up, Huawei will continue to drive the development of the global ICT industry.
